Hairdressing was my hobby long before I made it my career. I attended the Vermont College of Cosmetology in Burlington, Vermont in 1987 and graduated at the top of my class with a Redken Certificate for color.
I have been a 2-time Redken Specialist and attended the Redken Exchange on Fifth Avenue in New York City. I have continued to keep my education current by attending a minimum of 2 advanced classes and shows annually, all over the US for more than 35 years.
My first position as a stylist was at Sweeney Todds in Rutland for six years. I then continued on for 23 years with Avanti's full service salon where I worked with a very large team. Many of my best years and life-long friends were here.
At age 55, I helped launch a new cosmetology program at Stafford Technical Center, where I taught cosmetology from 2011 to 2016. I continued working with Avanti part-time while earning 80 college credits in education over 4 years.
Each year my fellow stylists and students volunteer at "Catwalk for a Cause", a fashion show to benefit the United Way. I have also lead and organized “cut-a-thons” for cancer and animal shelters. It's so important to "pay it forward"!

Trish started her career 18 years ago after graduating from 'the Vermont College of Cosmetology in Burlington Vermont. She began working as a freelance makeup artist and stylist and then became co-owner of former salon New Republik for 8 years. She specializes in a variety of salon services including cutting. coloring, keratin smoothing and formal styling.

I have traveled and trained across the US and abroad throughout my 36 years of practicing hair and beauty. I enjoy people, traveling, fashion and I love to give back. I work with all aspects of hair care as well as skin and nails. I also enjoy texture services - both smoothing and curling and understand the fabric that is hair.

I have been in the business of hair for 25 years. I graduated from O’Brien’s in South Burlington, VT in 1997. Over the course of those years I have offered a variety of services from cutting & coloring to texture services to skin, nails, make-up and event styling. Throughout the years color services have become my specialty. I just love to do a hair makeover! My main focus has been color, hilighting and corrective color. I love to perform fashion color services as well. Texture services such as perming, straightening, and keratin smoothing services, as well as event styling are also at the top of my list. My goal is always to achieve to the best of my ability what my client is asking for, but to also keep their hair as healthy looking as possible. I have attended several classes in my specialty areas in cities such as Boston, Orlando, and New York City with Redken, Tutto of Italy, Keratin Complex, Mirabella, Iso, Coastline Enterprises, Rusk, and several other companies of the beauty industry.
